Sample Management System: Sample preparation is a very important activity of the trade. Constant development work of samples goes on round the year. There are designers who prepare a sketch & based on the sketches shoe sample is to be prepared. The request for a sample comes through a fax message or e-mail has all the specifications of the sample and this is inputted in the system and the same is passed on to the factory for manufacturing with a date schedule. The complete follow up of the sample including any changes in the specification is done using the system. So the system communicates on one side with the customer's requirement and on the other side with the manufacturing facility (Own or other manufacturers). Time scheduling, costing and specification matching is of utmost importance to this operation and is critically maintained and monitored.

Once an order is received for a particular sample, the order processing starts. First of all a confirmation sample is to be prepared and sent to the customer for final approval. This is a similar type of operation as the sample preparation and is done the same way. After the approval of confirmation sample the manufacturing process starts. Tight monitoring of the schedule is to be maintained, as delays in the supply of order either call for a cancellation or heavy penalties. A powerful MIS is designed to monitor various stages of manufacturing & shipment. The system is designed in such a way that it automatically keeps on generating reminders, and maintains a work-to-do list for different users. Reports are user defined and can be generated in different formats for different customers, as some of them desire the reports in their own prescribed formats. A database of the customers is maintained. It also keeps the customer specific details of packing procedures of the shipment, their preferences for the labels etc. Automatic faxing & e-mail facility is available with nearly all the reports related to the customers.
